Webster County, Mississippi
Webster County is a rural county with two primary population centers, the towns of Eupora and Mathiston. The county has experienced modest population growth in recent years. Although the church has traditionally had a major presence in our area, we are beginning to see alarming changes. The Religious Insite Report 2021 estimates that over 74% of county residents are not involved in a religious congregation or community, which is an approximate 15% increase from 2017 to 2021.
We understand that this means many are living without an eternal hope. Hope Church is a church plant formed in an effort to join other churches in our county/state to reach those who are living without hope and eternally lost. We desire to love and serve individuals and families from all over Webster County and surrounding areas. At Hope Church we also desire to give hope to those who struggle with despair as it relates to addiction and other life controlling issues as well.
Our passion is to see this county and the surrounding areas transformed with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We want to see a community of people who worship and honor their Creator. We want to see people forever changed as they embrace the hope of the gospel and live out their lives under God’s good design.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.
